Beyond Limits Herbert Nitsch was given the prestigious title of The Deepest Man on Earth, when he set the current world record for free-diving at an incredible depth of 214 metres in 2007.

As one of the spearheads of free-diving today, Herbert intends to push the limits even further by becoming the first breath-hold athlete to break the 300- metre barrier.

Almost complete in Freediving
Hello Herbert,

just to say, that you're almost perfect in free-diving!! But why almost? There is one thing, who can make you complete and this is not reaching this amazing and crazy 1000ft. No I'm just talking about teaching: I think you have to teach now, because you reached a "deep" knowledge about this discipline and time has come for you to do some courses about it. I strongly think, we can learn a lot about you, not only due to your lots of world records, but the way to do it excellently. It's just a cesure with the old school, you reinvented apnea and this can lead to others records not only from you! I strongly believe, that is not only a physical and physiological performance, but (and maybe more) a mind performance, where you were more spending time thinking about the path how to reach a record, than for training.

So please, you have got enough records, now teach us :-))

Hallo Herbert,

That's good that we are able to take the personal loans and it opens completely new chances.

Hello! I just got to know you, through your website. I'm amazed at your world record of 214m, and, am very glad to know that you are keen in keeping the security level high, although going so deep into the ocean. I'm very curiose about your new set of 1000ft! Did you previously compete at other sports?
Wish you the best,
Lucia
